Walter Kuhn Park was designed as a multifunctional green space to meet diverse needs within a limited area. Located in the urban development zone ‘Neues Landgut’ and completed before the first residential buildings, the park provides spaces for sports, school-related outdoor activities, children’s play, and toddler play. A key element of the design is a compact urban forest, which not only supports intensive use but also contributes to improving the local microclimate. The park serves as an early and essential component of the neighborhood’s development, offering high-quality public space from the outset.
